My wedding day skincare prep

My wedding day skincare prep

Organising your wedding day is soooo much fun, picking dresses, colour schemes hen parties and testing cake! But there is no doubt it can also be extremely stressful! Family drama, a totally blown budget and the list of endless tasks… It can all take it’s toll on your skin. Don’t think you can start using a new moisturiser a week before your wedding and think all will be cured… Skincare is a commitment and you need to be in it for the long haul to see results.

In addition to my normal skincare routine, here’s how I prepared my skin before my wedding day…

1. Estée Lauder – Advanced Night Repair – Intensive Recovery Ampoules. I used these after cleansing at night before moisturiser. They leave skin feeling super hydrated. Estée Lauder actually suggest you use them in a two week cycle, 4 times a year with each season, Spring – Summer – Autumn – Winter. I did this but didn’t see much benefit so use them as and when I need them. Mostly in the Winter when central heating and cold weather can dry skin out.

2. Estée Lauder – Advanced Night Repair – Concentrated Recovery Powerfoil mask – A high-performance foil-backed sheet mask creates a protective barrier, allowing our potent technologies to penetrate fast and deep within skin’s surface and helping to lock in moisture.2X Hyaluronic Acid. Each treatment delivers a surge of liquid revitalisation, immersing skin in a double dose of Advanced Night Repair Serum’s powerful moisture magnet.

I used these on the run up to and the night before my wedding day, it makes my skin look plumped up and refreshed and heals any blemishes I have. They the best face masks I’ve used, I love them!

3. ZIIP – Nano Current device – cell-stimulating power of tiny electrical currents. I tried to use this as often as I could, it helps zap spots, tightens and improves fine lines. I concrete it around my mouth and jaw line, there are different settings you can use which you control from an app on your phone. This is the future of skincare, I bought mine from Cult Beauty.

I provide a freelance service that covers hair and makeup for TV, fashion, editorial and weddings, including skincare consultations and makeup lessons. This is my blog where talk about my opinions and experiences on all things beauty. Please leave comments or questions!
